architectural digest: MANDY CHENG NAMED TO AD100 2023

Following the well-traveled road from production design to interior design, Mandy Cheng has parlayed her experience in film, television, and music into a career as one of the most sought-after decorators on the contemporary scene. Her entertainment industry résumé includes a stint at DreamWorks Animation, music video production design for chart-toppers J. Cole and One Republic, and graphic design work on projects like the movie Ladybird and Beyoncé’s Lemonade album. 

Cheng branched out into residential and commercial interiors in 2012, crafting environments defined by both high style and easy, unpretentious livability. The home she designed for actors Daveed Diggs and Emmy Raver-Lampman made a splash with its bright pops of color and pattern and bespoke details that captured the effervescent spirit of her high-profile clients. Mandy Cheng continues to apply her chic, breezy sensibility to a broad array of houses, traditional and modern, across Southern California (including a standard family home whose ho-hum laundry room was completely reimagined by Cheng).
